CT Abdomen Interpretation - Celiac Axis
CT abdomen is one of the commonest cross-sectional imaging studies that we order in our routine outpatient practice. This video is the second part of our series on an introduction to the anatomy of CT abdomen and pelvis. It shows the splenic artery, the common hepatic artery, and its course, the gastroduodenal artery as well as the branches of the common hepatic artery in this particular patient.
The right hepatic artery arises directly from the celiac trunk in this case and that is also highlighted. A schematic is added in between to aid the understanding.
