Liver Anatomy - Hepatic Artery Proper - Origin, Course And Branches of Hepatic Artery

Hello everyone, Welcome back !!

Hope you all enjoyed the first part of the anatomy of the liver series. I am sure it is now simple to remember the couinaud classification.

The anatomy of the liver is the most tricky one to master when we are students as well as for surgeons while operating or radiologists while reviewing the scans.

POINT TO NOTE:

RIGHT GASTRIC ARTERY ARISES FROM PROPER HEPATIC ARTERY MORE COMMONLY (53%) THAN COMMON HEPATIC ARTERY (20%). So, kindly remember that point as it is represented here from common hepatic artery.

For those who are new to the small talk series, here is a brief description:

In this small talk series, we are going to give you some key topics in a very easy to understand manner and in a short and sweet package.

Liver anatomy will be discussed in 5 parts. This second part deals with the arterial anatomy of the liver with a line diagram representation of the anatomy to easily understand and reproduce in the exam.

TIP: It is always better to remember the arteries from their origin to their termination inside the organ. Hence, we will discuss all our vascular anatomy topics in this way.

Follow this liver anatomy small talk series and STAY TUNED for many more such interesting series.
