The anatomy of the liver is the most tricky one to master when we are students as well as for surgeons while operating or radiologists while reviewing the scans. The basics of liver anatomy are therefore discussed in 5 parts in this series.

This trick of understanding the liver anatomy in your hand will help you remember as well as understand the 3-dimensional aspects of liver anatomy.

I am not sure if you have been taught liver anatomy using your hand as a 3D model but, I found this trick very interesting and hence, sharing it with all of you.

The only point to HIGHLIGHT Is that in the actual liver anatomy, gall bladder does not continue with Thumb as in this technique, but, we have only 5 fingers so this the easiest it can get. But, do keep this in mind.
